But Weblate can do it: Addons — Weblate 4.5 documentation

It can be enabled in the Manage > Addons section, and each weblate branch will contains both PO modifications from users and MO binary built from those modifications.

yeah, also that addon was already enabled. i’m not sure wtf i was thinking.

i’ve also disabled msgmerge for po files because weblate can do it.
