TTRSS android app - how to hide/remove the circle caps next to articles listview

Using version 1.299 (533) of android app.

I selected “Display mode → Compact (no images)” and still I see the circular Alphabet of the first letlter of the article title (see screenshot). Is there a way to hide that as well and have a rather minimal deculttered layout?
