NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
ssl certificate has a problem

Works fine on Firefox…

Seems to be working fine in Safari on iOS.

What version of Chrome, what OS, etc. are you using?

chrome 63.0.3213.3 dev
win10

You’re here asking why a preview release of software is not working?

Try a stable release and report back then.

now in Google Chrome Version 61.0.3163.91 (Official Build) (64-bit)

No issue here with that version and Windows 10.

Searching on “ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID” brings up some possibilities (extensions, etc.). Perhaps there’s something between you and git.tt-rss.org injecting its own cert, which might be considered invalid due to a missing subject alternative name.

Are you actually connecting to the site directly or going through a proxy? Can we see the certificate as Chrome sees it? It’s complaining about the common name being invalid so it’d be interesting to see what the certificate says on your end.

Press F12 to open devtools. Go to the “Security” tab. Click “View certificate” and from there you can look at the certificate subject.

the certificateis for discourse.tt-rss.org
but use for https://git.tt-rss.org so error

I am seeing this SHA1 fingerprint 0A:B4:F9:34:C3:65:40:B9:EE:F8:33:AB:CC:B6:4B:9D:DC:90:18:E6 on https://git.tt-rss.org and there is no error.

SHA1 fingerprint for discourse is D1:E5:DF:94:1F:6F:CF:20:A4:F5:7F:56:83:F0:B2:55:A6:DF:E1:8E.
