FYI, the lead Alpine packager is stepping down

Know the docker image relies on alpine and not sure if/how this might impact that choice. Just an FYI

Probably nothing:

She doesn’t believe that this will ultimately impact Alpine Linux itself but hopes that others will pick-up what’s needed to keep on going with the package maintenance.

Even if it did the docker container isn’t that complex migrating to something like the Debian php container would be relatively trivial.

Also Alpine is so widely used I would be shocked if there was no one willing to pick it up, either from the corporate world or just from an uptick in community contributions.
